Scarlett 2i2 vs SSL2+ Conclusion
In terms of build quality, sound quality, and latency, the 2i2 and SSL2+ both offer great value. They both offer great dynamic range, plenty of volume when you need it, and practical latency at small buffer sizes. When you’re looking for an audio interface, those are the most important considerations that we consider.
The SSL2+ does offer more gain, less noise, more dynamic range, and we prefer the sound of the SSL2+ 4k Legacy mode compared to the Scarlett 2i2 Air Circuit.
The Scarlett 2i2 offers a smaller, light weight design with all of the inputs and headphone jack on the front of the unit which we believe is beneficial.
The SSL 2+ and 2i2 3rd Gen both offer high quality, high value audio interfacing for your home studio but we think the SSL2+ has enough clear benefits to recommend it over the Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interface.
