I have Yamaha MG10XU USB Audio Mixing Console. I ran an XLR line from another Behrenger powered mixer which had a microphone, keyboard and music from iPod running into the Yamaha thru line 4 and there was a lot of distortion and the sound was terrible. I did this before and there was no problem however this time there was distortion. is there a way to run a XLR line from another mixer to the Yamaha correctly?

To sum it up, you’re sending a Line level signal into a Mic level input. You can press the pad button on this channel, or use an external in-line pad, to reduce the line level signal to be mic-level.
